There is information about the conference and, here, contextual information  on the conference. Thus, you will find information on the conference location, where is it, how to reach it, etc. You also will find more general information on Paris, a large spectrum of places where to live, and, because it is the main specialty of France: restaurants (but you will find also fast-food!).

    Some basic expressions in French will help you begin a discussion with someone. However, a good map, a paper and a pen would be useful too.

Please not that, if you use a correct browser, you can "Save as..." a page, a picture or a map, organize them as you want and print them for a paper copy once you will be in Paris.

Last point specific for American participants, but hoping sincerely that you will do not need of this information, you will find the American Embassy near Place de la Concorde, and useful information in case of emergency situations.
